What does No Win No Fee mean*?
There is no hidden agenda, we simply specialise in claims and take all the risk for you: no salesmen, no upfront costs, no cost to you if we lose and of course, we will make the process as quick and simple as possible.
Our promise is simple, we will:
Can I reclaim charges myself?
Yes. You would need to have all the letters in place and be positive in all negotiations with the bank, ask all the correct questions and potentially be prepared to issue court proceedings. You would also need to be prepared to navigate your way around the complaint procedures and be confident that you were not being fobbed off. If you have the confidence and time to do all of this then you should make the complaint yourself. If not we are here to fight your case on your behalf.
Will my credit rating be affected?
No. All you are doing is claiming back what is rightfully yours and this will not have a negative affect on your credit rating.
What is compensation?
Compensation is any amount paid due to actions taken by Hayward Marsh which would not have been paid had no action been taken by you.
Compensation can include the following: - PPI premiums & interest paid to the date of settlement - Statutory interest payable on each premium to the date of settlement - Any other amount, including rebates, written off the loan after Hayward Marsh has submitted a complaint to the advising firm.
Note: Your loan or credit card provider may use your compensation to reduce your loan or debt balance.
Wealth Warning: Watch out for other firms charging no win-no fee at a rate of 10% plus interest +VAT. Often they will take 10% of recovered premiums plus ALL interest recovered. Often the interest is at least half of the claim so you could easily end up paying far more than paying a simple 35% including 20% VAT and all charges.
Why should I use Hayward Marsh?
The claims process is often portrayed as a simple one but through the years we have seen some really dirty tricks played by big corporations. We feel that putting these big corporate companies in charge of their own complaints process is a bit like putting the fox in charge of the chicken coop!
You can only win a claim if the rules surrounding the sale of the policy were broken. To make a claim a complaint has to be put to the company who sold it to you. They will then investigate to see if they broke the rules or not. At Hayward Marsh we offer an unbiased, straightforward service and will support you every step of the way.
If the initial complaint is not upheld, we can take your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) for arbitration. The FOS will independently assess the details of your complaint and decide whether your complaint should be upheld. However, you may need to be patient, as the FOS currently has heavy workloads, due to the thousands of mis-selling complaints they are receiving about these products.
Hayward Marsh provides a real alternative, offering professional, experienced, jargon free help which will give you peace of mind.
How do I know my information is safe with your company?
We take data protection very seriously, your information will never be passed on to anyone outside of our Group, other than the people directly involved with reclaiming your bank charges.
Can I still complain if I no longer have the policy?
You can as long as you still have the policy or loan details and you did not get any payout of benefits under the policy while it was in force.
What is PPI?
PPI (Payment Protection Insurance) is insurance to cover your payments on a loan should you become sick, unemployed or suffer an accident.
How does the process work?
We will operate on your behalf, including all contact and liaising with your bank until an offer that you are happy with is achieved. This is inclusive of:
What types of loans are covered by PPI?
Car finance, mortgages, bank and building society loans and credit cards are all products that frequently come with PPI attached.
Why Can I make a claim?
Generally PPI insurance has been found to have been mis-sold by the Financial Services Authority in a number of cases. If it was mis-sold to you then you can make a claim to get back the proportion of your monthly loan or credit-card payments that represented the PPI payments, plus interest.
There are many reasons why PPI may have been mis-sold to you in the first place but the main reasons behind making a claim are if you were not in full-time employment at the time you took out the loan, if you were told that the cover was compulsory or if you were not even made aware that you had the cover.
If I complain will it affect my policy?
Yes. In the majority of cases, what we are complaining about is the fact that you should not have been sold the policy in the first place because it was not right for you. If we are successful with your complaint, your compensation will be a full refund of all your premiums plus interest and your cover will cease.
